Sensational Summer Hard Strawberry Lemonade

Lemonade is summer. Nothing quite beats the heat like the sweet tartness of classic lemonade. From a very young age most of us get served this sensational summer drink at its most basic form. As we grow we slowly move away from those childhood specialties only to turn back to them once we have grown. Admittedly the versions we consume as adults have altered somewhat from the original, but what doesn’t change as we grow?

This lemonade offers a taste of childhood combined with a few additions to appeal to an adult’s pallet while still capable of bringing back the memories of summers spent in the sun with friends. The tartness of the lemon combines with sugar to sweeten the mixture; topped off with water it is a refreshing beverage. To this we are recommending the addition of muddled fresh strawberries and a few ounces of vodka to elevate this summer favourite to a summer spectacular.

Ingredients:

2 oz. vodka

5 oz. lemonade

4 to 5 quartered strawberries

Ice

Directions:

Muddle the strawberries in a shaker.

Add all other ingredients and shake, reserving one piece of strawberry for garnish and some ice for the glass.

Strain and pour the lemonade into a glass over ice. Garnish and serve.
