Backyard Burgers For Canada’s 150th!

July the first is fast approaching! In celebration of Canada’s 150th birthday most of us will find ourselves in backyards or in parks tossing a frisbee around while our dads’ collectively barbecue, grilling some meat for all to enjoy. When feeding a crowd most would agree that burgers suit most any occasion. Now you can slap ground beef, an egg and some breadcrumbs together and call it a burger, but if your bunch looks for a flavour punch in their burgers, try ours on for size.

¾ lb. ground beef

¼ chopped red onion

1 Tbsp. Dijon mustard

2 Tbsp. Worchester sauce

1 Lg. egg

200-300g. breadcrumbs

  1. Place all ingredients in a large bowl
  2. Mix until uniform desired consistency
  3. Portion and shape burgers
  4. Grill and serve.
