Simple Changes for Tastebud Delights

After a mad dash to get out the door, traffic speeding along at a snails’ pace, morning meeting, and countless headaches it is finally time for lunch. If each one of us took note of all available options, the seemingly endless gastropia of offerings will surprise most. The majority of us however have a few go to choices when it comes to lunchtime. Every now and again we all decide to change it up and look for something new, simple additions or alterations to old favourites can generally do wonders for your taste buds.

It is time for lunch but which lunch is for you? Often it is the time frame that limits your options. A quick half hour to devour those calories to take you through the afternoon grind, or is an hour long lunch when you have time to sit and enjoy a good meal with a friend or colleague. The midday meal means something different to each one of us. There are a number of factors to what’s for lunch; the time allotted, size of meal, type of meal and also what is available to you. Sandwiches, soups, salads and sit down options at a local eatery are all viable options. To the majority of us a sandwich, of some form, usually fits the bill.

Within the sandwich family there are seemingly endless combinations to choose from. Hot, cold, meat or vegetarian, gourmet or economical there is a sandwich option for all of us. Even bread types can offer a range of flavours and textures. If blue cheese is not agreeable with your palate a sharp cheddar can offer an alternative.

Generally speaking lunch is the forgotten meal, something to be speedily consumed mid day with less to no emphasis spent on enjoyment. I do not know about you but it appears as if it has nothing more than a utilitarian feel. Bring back lunch, if only to your family.
